Eagle-Cordell Concrete Products Adds New Professionals to Team


Houston, TX - April 29, 2004 - A local masonry company's surge of growth continues with the addition of four new team members. Eagle-Cordell Concrete Products, an Oldcastle, Inc. company, recently welcomed Jeff Anderson, Josh Rosenbeck, Mike Guerra and Josh Murphy to its sales force.

"Eagle-Cordell is growing so quickly that we needed high-caliber professionals like these four gentleman to assist in our continued development," said Ed Sossaman, Sales Manager for Eagle-Cordell. "Their combined 22 years in the industry will be a great asset as we gear up for new product launches and market development."

A producer and supplier of quality concrete masonry products for more than 40 years, Eagle-Cordell Concrete Products specializes in innovative technology, high quality materials, and superior customer service. The company's two manufacturing locations and three stores covering Houston, Central and South Texas allow for daily delivery of concrete masonry solutions, including segmental retaining walls, brick, block, pavers and landscaping supplies to architects, owners, contractors and homeowners. According to Sossaman, the residential market in Houston is forecasted to grow by 15 percent to 35,000 new home starts. As a result, Eagle Cordell secured two residential sales specialists to meet this demand.

Jeff Anderson, a sales representative focused on the residential sector, is responsible for marketing brick and related materials to Houston's new residential construction market, while servicing both builders and residential masonry contractors. Anderson is no stranger to Oldcastle products. Prior to joining the team, he sold Oldcastle-Jewell products and services at a prominent home and garden store in the Dallas market. A Texas State University graduate with more than three years of industry experience, Anderson is an active member of the Greater Houston Builders Association and the National Association of Homebuilders.

Also joining Eagle-Cordell's sales team is Josh Rosenbeck, who brings more than seven years of industry experience to his role as residential sales representative. Rosenbeck's specialty is helping Houston home builders and residential masonry contractors to meet their building and masonry needs. Prior to his position at Eagle-Cordell, Rosenbeck was a sales representative for Bilco Brick where he was responsible for recruiting and servicing residential builders. A graduate of Parkland Junior College and Illinois State University, Rosenbeck is also an active member of the Greater Houston Builders Association and the National Association of Homebuilders.

The Houston market is growing rapidly due to significant infrastructure construction and foundation repair in the residential sector. Mike Guerra brings more than two years of industry experience to his sales role in the foundation and utility markets. Prior to accepting a position with Eagle-Cordell, Guerra worked in sales for Matt Stone, a sister company. An active member in the community, he is a member of the Foundation Repair Association. He is also a school board trustee and member of the local Knights of Columbus chapter.

And finally, Eagle-Cordell secured the services of Josh Murphy, who brings more than 10 years of industry experience to his role as a masonry sales representative. Murphy is responsible for is responsible for developing the commercial masonry construction market in Houston and its surrounding areas. He will assist in the development and introduction of new product lines into the Houston market and will work with commercial masonry and general contractors, and architects. A Texas A&M graduate with a degree in civil engineering, Murphy worked with Masterbuilders Technologies before joining the sales team at Eagle-Cordell. He is an active member of multiple organizations, including the Construction Specifications Institute, the American Concrete Institute, the Texas Masonry Council, the American Institute of Architects, and the Associated Masonry Contractors of Houston.
